Following the tour of our garden, guests will enjoy a dining experience in our Testkitchen. As the completion of our Testkitchen draws near, we will commence our farm tours in late summer or early fall.
The grounds where we built our raised beds have been in the family for over a century. The circular eira was reconstructed this year as there was much damage due to an earthquake in 1998. Historically, it served as a traditional place where neighbors would gather and dry beans and corn. It was here that Margo’s great-grandfather first sowed the seeds of lettuce, squash, and beans. In homage to this legacy, we continue to cultivate these staples alongside a diverse array of heirloom peas, greens, and tomatoes. This summer, we are especially excited to showcase our vibrant dahlia collection, as we planted more than 100 tubers!
